Invitation from the Chair

The Social Simulation Conference 2017 (The Annual Conference of the European Social Simulation Association) takes place at University College Dublin in September 2017.

The aim of this international conference is to share and foster a deeper understanding of how complex social problems can be understood through computational simulations and techniques. The Social Simulation Conference 2017 provides a platform for the presentation of the latest results of research and discussions on emergent phenomena and modelling issues.

SSC2017 is delighted to invite all researchers and practitioners, including the public sector and industry, from a wide range of disciplines including anthropology, archeology, computer sciences, economics, environmental sciences, geography, history, information studies, mathematical sciences, political sciences, psychology, sociology, among others, to participate in this conference. We welcome conference contributions on a variety of research subjects related to social simulations, whether theoretical, experimental, practical, or technical.

The SSC2017 conference host, University College Dublin, is Ireland’s largest and most globally engaged university and one of Europe’s most research-intensive university campuses. Dublin is an excellent location to visit, bursting with a variety of surprising experiences where city living thrives side by side with the natural outdoors.

On behalf of the conference organizing committee, I look forward to seeing you in Dublin at SSC2017!
